Clemson has already added three players from the portal and still has two roster spots left.
The first guy to commit to the Tigers was Cole Certa, a guard from Notre Dame, who showed that he can go off for thirty points doing it three times last year at Notre Dame. He is a Junior and he will definitely be a potential starter.
They also added Dylan Faulkner from Samford. Clemson hired their new GM, Tyler Murray who had been at Samford before coming to Clemson. Dylan Faulkner will play a big role among the Forwards especially since losing Jake Wahlin, Carter Welling to injury, and RJ Godfrey to graduation.
The third and final guy that they have added is Liutauras Lelevicius from TCU. He is a guard and will be a key rotational piece at the point.
The time to enter the transfer portal has closed and Clemson still has two spots left to add some players but as of now this is what Clemson’s 2026-27 basketball roster looks like:
Ace Buckner(G), Zac Foster(G), Harris Reynolds(G), Amare James(G), Coler Certa(G), Liutauras Lelevicius(G), Blake Davidson(F), Trent Steinour(F), Dallas Thomas(F), Chase Thompson(F), Carter Welling(F/C), Dylan Faulkner(F), Will Stevens(C)
Clemson is adding Harris Reynolds, Amare James and Will Stevens as well. They will all be freshman. It is hard to say exactly who will be starting next season but there are a few injury concerns to mention. Carter Welling tore his ACL in the ACC tournament and will miss the start of the season. According to how his recovery goes, he could return sooner but will be out some significant time of the season. Zac Foster tore his ACL early in the 2025-26 season against South Carolina but we expect him to be back for the start of the 2026-27 season and assuming he recovers and comes back healthy he will be a starter.
My projected starting lineup for the Tigers in 2026-27: Zac Foster(G), Ace Buckner(G), Dallas Thomas(F), Dylan Faulkner(F), Cole Certa(G). I would also add Carter Welling to that once he returns from injury.
Clemson will hope to improve off the last two seasons, just three years ago they were in the Elite Eight and have lost in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament the last two years. Clemson hopes this is the year they can make another run and with this roster it is definitely possible. It would be nice if they could add another big man out of the portal as Welling is out, Stevens is a freshman and Dallas Thomas and Dylan Faulkner are not true big men.
